Charity Begins @ HOME!...
...And Collections Tins need a Good Home.
31 July, 2008
Assalam Alaikum All
Those of you who attended the recent committee elections (17 May, 2008) may remember a presentation by Mufti Naushad on Kathiawad Islamic Academy's work in India.
Why Kathiawad?
For those who are not aware, and especially the younger generation, Kathiawad is the region in the state of Gujarat in India where the entire Memon community is believed to be originated from i.e. it is our original HOME! With Allah's help and the effort and contribution of various individuals and groups, Kathiawad Islamic Academy, which was founded in July 2000, has now been carrying out Islamic, social, educational & medical work in Kathiawad for the past 8 years.
Collection Tins
To help continue this worthy work, we are requesting all members who would like to take part to request a collection tin which will be personally dropped off to you and then checked monthly by the local in-charge for Leicester, London & Dundee who is:
